Jameson Joinery was established in 1986 by Robert Jameson, who has a background in agricultural engineering and surveying, with a view to filling a niche market for low volume high quality joinery. By utilising exacting engineering principles and standards the business has developed an excellent reputation for the design and manufacture of a diverse range of joinery and associated products. Traditionally trained and experienced joiners using only the finest quality timbers combined with modern machinery produce first class work, resulting in the company being nominated contractors for a wide range of high profile projects, many of which have received RICS and other prestigious awards. Jameson joinery are contractors to the National Trust, the Heritage Lottery Fund and are recommended by English Heritage, various Ecclesiastical and planning authorities.
With a sound knowledge of both historic and current building construction the company offers technical advice and a design service to compliment the manufacturing facility.
Originally established in 1841, and following the repeal of the Glass Tax Act in 1843, Foster and Pearson rapidly became the world leader in the production of the finest quality glasshouses. Using only the best grades of Teak and Pitch Pine, and by having their own iron foundry, they produced an unrivalled product. Many of these glasshouses are still in constant use over a century later. Today Foster and Pearson, a sister company of Jameson Joinery, are still manufacturing glasshouses and coldframes to the original Victorian designs. New parts are interchangeable with the earlier buildings, enabling replacement components to be supplied off the shelf. Modern technology such as 6mm total thickness double glazing and ground source heat pumps are available, and don't detract from the charm of the original glasshouses. https://www.fosterandpearson.co.uk Email: email@example.com
